Participate in our Stake Youth Challenge by spiritually preparing for Youth Conference!

Francis Webster was a member of the Martin Handcart Company. He gave up everything to join the Saints in the Salt Lake Valley. He suffered beyond comprehension. But after the trek, he was heard to say, “Was I sorry that I chose to come by hand cart? No. Neither then nor any minute of my life since. The price we paid to become acquainted with God was a privilege to pay and I am thankful that I was privileged to come in the Martin Handcart Company.”

We invite you to follow the example of Francis Webster and the council of President Nelson by participating in our Pay the Price Challenge between now and the end of Youth Conference. We are confident that as you do so, the Lord will reward your life with an increase of the spirit and more opportunities to Hear Him.

Instructions: For the Youth of the Willow Park Stake, a "trekker" is someone who moves toward Christ. We all must put forth the work and effort to have all the blessings that a loving Savior would
give to us. Accomplish a task, earn some points. Accumulate points between now and the last day of Youth Conference. Reach 500 points and you will be a recognized as a "Trekker". Reach 1,000 points and you will be recognized as a "Super Trekker". Recognition will be given at our August 6 Stake Youth Fireside. Keep track of your own points and report them to your Company Captain at the end of Youth Conference.

Here are the different ways to earn points:

Watch the "Intro to Youth Conference" video found in the "videos" section of the blog: 25 points

Watch the videos in the "videos" section of the blog: 5 points for each video

Learn about your pioneer ancestor (the one who joined the Church first in your family): 10 points

Record yourself telling a pioneer story for the blog and email it to lehiwillowparkstake@gmail: 150 points

Watch a General Conference talk posted on the blog: 10 points each talk

Attend the temple: 20 points each time you go

Attend both hours of Church: 10 points each week

Study the Come, Follow Me lesson with your family: 10 points each week

Index Names: 20 points for each hour of indexing

Set your four Youth Program goals: 20 points

Accomplish a Youth Program goal and replace it with another: 20 points each time

Teach a Quorum or Young Woman class: 20 points

Register for Youth Conference by June 4: 15 points

Pray everyday: 1 point per day

Read from the Book of Mormon everyday: 2 points per day

Serve someone the way Christ would serve them: 2 points per act of service

Fast with a purpose each Fast Sunday: 40 points per month

Attend the Saratoga Springs Temple open house: 30 points

Invite someone to attend the Saratoga Springs Temple open house: 40 points

Determine your Youth Conference Question (see "what is your question" tab on the blog): 40 points

Watch all videos from the Physical Preparation section of the blog: 20 points

Attend the June 4th Youth Conference fireside (start time is 4:00): 20 points

Attend the July 2nd Youth Conference fireside (start time is 4:00): 20 points

Read the whole Book of Mormon between now and the end of Youth Conference: 700 points

Watch for additional activities to be announced later!
